Finding Inspiration in the Unread
It’s fascinating how a random thought can spark a creative journey. Some moons ago, I found myself pondering the fate of characters in books—specifically, the idea of them dying from being unknown or unread. This contemplation struck a chord within me, igniting a desire to explore this theme further through writing.
A Thrifter Through and Through
As an avid thrift shopper, I often find myself sifting through stacks of old books. Each one tells a story, not just within its pages but also through its journey to my hands. Even if I never read them, I feel a profound connection to these forgotten tales. The thought that a character could fade away, lost to time and obscurity, resonates deeply with me. It’s as if every book holds a piece of a life that deserves to be remembered. Through this book, I explore the idea of "thrifted characters" meeting each other and being picked up by unknown parallel world readers.
Writing as a Tribute
This fear of characters dying in silence has inspired me to write a book that honors their existence. I want to breathe life into those who might otherwise be forgotten, giving them a voice and a narrative that connects with readers. Each character will have their own story, a chance to shine in the literary world, reminding us of the importance of every tale, no matter how small.
Through this journey, I hope to inspire others to cherish the stories that surround us, to pick up that old book and consider the lives within. After all, every character deserves to be remembered.
